Ahhhh ... HOME

Going to a quilt retreat with my bestest girlfriends is beyond words. We are married, single, divorced, with and without children (and now grandchildren), employed and not, thin (and not), physically fit and couch potatoes (me) ... all so very different and yet we are connected with the unbreakable thread of a love for each other and fabric and food.

We sewed and walked and ate and laughed and stayed up WAY too late. I have not seen 3am in a LONG LONG time.

I finished a couple of quilt tops.

A long time UFO is done. When it's quilted, it will be donated - somewhere.

I even made binding!

Another Christmas quilt top done and waiting to be quilted.
I'm a roll with my 2018 Gift Giving List.

I made 16 blocks for another Christmas quilt and 60 little Churn Dash blocks (3"x3") and we did our swap.  Next up ... 6" Churn Dash blocks. And - I traced all the parts for my Pat Sloan wall hanging.

We all arrive sew organized and with too much stuff.  This is Deb's tabled of bags. She's sew organized.  That's Terri peaking out behind all of Deb's stuff.

I love retreating with these ladies. We help keep other sane, sometimes with advice and sometimes just blind support.

"FRIENDS ... they are kind to each other's hopes and cherish each other's dreams."
~ Henry David Thoreau
