DOING FOR OTHERS

Because it's a dreary, rainy day and I wanted to waste NO time ... I grabbed some fortification and headed to the dungeon.  Dungeon?  My subterranean sewing room ... well lit but still in the basement.

Yesterday, I spent some time with Starlyn sorting through some old fabric ... and I do mean OLD ... I was having flashbacks to the '80's.  She was working and I was playing.  I made bundles of fabrics that looked good together, that matched or just seemed like they needed to not be separated from each other.

I picked 2.  Hopefully someone else will use the others.  One that was very pastel and very flowery.  Then other - blue and yellow.

I made this yesterday afternoon and quilted it this a.m. ... it still needs a binding.  It will be going to the Appalachain Mountain Baby Blanket project.
It's hard to take pictures on a dreary, rainy day but I think you can see the quilting ... I did all-over feathers and I do think it turned out quite nice.

 Now ... I'm on a break ... PB&J and pretzels.

By the way ... I did not start drinking beer at 8:00 this morning - it's water, I promise!

Beautiful! You really made short work of that quilt! Maybe I should try some of that "it's not beer, it's water" first thing in the morning too! ;o)

Lovely little quilt! You made good use of a dreary, rainy day...it's clouding up here, too. Managed to get the yard mowed before the rain sets in, now to my sewing room...yeah!
Have fun in the dungeon!
