ONE THING AND ANOTHER

Had another one of "those" days ... one thing lead to another which lead to another which means I did NOT get done what I set out to do today.  BUT ... I did have a very productive day ...

My HandiQuilter machine has not been behaving lately so I called that wonderful place in Utah, explained my problem in very unscientific terms and the fabulous SAM (Yeah for Sam!!!) knew what the problem was and more importantly - talked me through the fix.  And all is well again!!

I finished up this little candle cozy - it just needed a button.  Another Christmas gift checked off the list - HURRAY!!

I finished these yesterday.  Seems like MUG RUGS are all over bloggy-land lately - here and here.  Thought I better jump on that bandwagon ... Christmas list check mark!

But what really sucked me in and was NOT on the list for today was working on my Fantastic Garden quilt.  It got started at the Melrose Inn Retreat with Marilyn Doheny.  Like any garden ... it's evolving.  A critter got kicked out of my garden and another one turned out not be a critter after all, it was a flower.  This quilt has been hanging on my design wall since September and suddenly it excites me.  My garden is growing!!

So ... I did not work on a Christmas gift guilt that I set out to do today - blocks are done, just need to put the whole thing together.  But ... there's always tomorrow!

You're further ahead than I am with Christmas gifts! I have lots of things started, but none finished...
