One of the things on our "life list" and we can now check it off! Believe me ... the pictures do not begin to capture what it's like in real life.
A little bit out of order - sorry - this is what it looked like at night all lit up. After the program about the history of the sculptor and his work and a little bit about Lewis and Clark and their travels through South Dakota, all veterans were invited to the stage to be honored ... and what an honor. The Cute Husband and I joined about 3 dozen other veterans and the whole place stood and applauded us and our service ... it was very moving.
We actually got there before dark and this is what the guys look like in daylight. They are 60 FEET tall. Thanks to the zoom lens!
