Quilt of Valor

My Florida guild ... Seaside Piecemakers ... has a very active sub-group that makes and presents quilts to veterans. They work through the organization Quilts of Valor.  I have made many myself and quilted lots of tops for others.

At our quilt show this weekend ... more on that later ... we had a display set up and it received lots of attention.

Each of these packets contain the fabric and directions to complete a 12" quilt block. The kit is packed into a sandwich bag ... this is sew CLEVER.  They sold over 100 kits.  When returned, the blocks will be made into quilts. The $$ raised will go toward buying backing and batting.

The top quilt is one that I made.  It will be donated at a presentation ceremony next month.  The rack it is hanging on is really simple.  If you need an easy display - check this out.  It is wood, notched out and placed on a flat "stand". The PVC holds the quilt.  Another - Sew CLEVER!

The Space Coast QOV group does a fabulous job!!!

Sandwich for a vet - that really is a clever idea.
