Hello 2017

Day 2 of the new year and I've been staying cozy in my sewing room. Setting up my new planner/tracker was a good time to decide on new sew-alongside and BOM's.  I've had this "kit" of fabric for a couple of years.  My MD guild made bundles from donated stash.

I just happened to have an empty drawer so I started the 1st 2 blocks of Pat Sloan's Solstice Challenge. 182 days, once a week, 25 blocks. When it's done, this quilt will be donated to Southern Comforters Quilt BINGO.

Then I moved on to quilting some of those Bargello Exploration tops.  Decisions, decisions - what thread? What design? And ... do I really want to keep practicing sit-down quilting?

And ... Um ... some other design (?)

Each with weird "what the heck" fabric on the back ... using up some stash.

Yes, I did some sit-down quilting.

Tomorrow, I hope to be doing some HandiQuilter magic ... standing up!
