Friday Finish

Ok - really it was a Wednesday finish but I'm just getting to the blog post.

This quilt was started in 2010.  It was a guild swap of all the various block parts.  This way we all got a LOT more variety in our fabrics ... Sort of a scrappy scrap quilt.  The swap took a couple months.  Yes, months, not years.

Then the parts had to be sewn into blocks and the blocks into a quilt top and borders had to added.

THEN it had to quilted.  That took YEARS!  On Wednesday of this week - binding.  A finished quilt is a beautiful thing.

I really love this quilt, love the design and the fabrics. Nice choice for a border too, really brings out the red shades.

That is gorgeous - and it gives me hope that some of the "pieces" of quilt that I have sitting around in large ziplocs can eventually become an actual quilt....someday....
