Plan Interrupted

Today's plan was to make 2 pairs of pants for kid#2. Easy, peasy pants. I have made at least 20 pairs - honestly. Elastic waist with pockets. Cut them out yesterday so today I could just sew them up.

But that didn't happen.

Instead this is what happened ...
1. I refolded some fabric (from Starlyn) that I was going to use to make a bag at retreat this weekend. I had already made a version of this bag several years ago and decided I really didn't need another.

2. When refolding the fabric, I looked at it more closely - crazy sewing ladies with cats - very cute!

3. For some reason I also happened to have a lot of lime green fabric with bumble bees on it that would work for the backing. So I loaded it all on the Handiquilter - the bag is made from pre quilted fabric. And quilted!

4. Now I have all the parts made and staged - will do the sewing together at retreat.

Tomorrow - I might make pants.

That is really fun, love the prints and the idea of making totes with fun prints.
