A New Start

While finishing UFO's is very important to me. Starting new projects is just so irresistible! I had a vision - always a scary thing - I wanted to make a quilt made from collected scraps. I pulled out a bunch of already cut 2.5" squares of blues and white/creams, lots of blue strings and blue scraps - not exactly yardage but bigger chunks.

My plan was (is) to make blocks using half-square triangles and string-pieced blocks. I made one block to test out measures and colors, narrowed the blues down to just darker shades and I LOVE it. Now I have to make lots more blocks. It'll be a slow process. The idea of a two-color quilt has been percolating in my brain for a while.
