What To Do With An Oops

Blogging from my iPad is so easy and very convenient - I can do it anywhere. The problem - I don't think there's a way to put photos into the middle of the post. They'll always be at the end. Not a terrible thing but not as good as reading and looking at the same time.

Anyway - there was this Thimbleberries shop sample that couldn't be sold. The maker (who shall remain nameless - NOT ME!) was not careful with selvages. The quilt sat around for a couple of years and when the shop closed it was gifted to me.

The quilt then sat around in my sewing room for a couple of months and yesterday I was inspired to do something with it. A few well placed appliqués and it was fixed!

Of course a photo of the whole quilt would have been nice - I'll try and do that today.

Oh my, was she a beginner quilters??? I've never seen anyone leave a selvage where it could be seen. She must have used less then a 1/4" seam.

Wonderful way to fix a quilt. I like to keep my quilts that I use simple, that way if I get a rip, I can always add an appliqué;) I haven't tried blogging with my iPad, since I use my laptop for most things and easier for photos, do you use an app when you go on blogger or straight from a browser. I noticed that the app for Facebook is limited compared to coming in from the browser, but it is nice when I want to throw in a photo from my phone.
