ONE BLOCK DONE

As promised - here's my first (of 3) blocks from my Sue Spargo class ...
The color of the background fabric is SO blue and SO pretty.

I'm not terribly knowledgable about fabric. This is raw silk ... I thought it was burlap.
Thankfully, I didn't say it too loud!

The kit included lots of wool, some cotton, a little velvet and a little silk (raw silk, NOT burlap). It also had lots of embellishments - some beads, some couching threads and ricrac.

Today ... I'm quilting a large quilt.  Ruth's quilts are just so lovely. I love folk-art designs.

Your pieces are wonderful and beautiful stitching.
I have no idea what fabric is what.

LOL! I'm afraid that I would have made the same mistake with the silk. The block is beautiful and your stitching is amazing :)
