SOCK LOVE

Susie and Shelly came over to knit socks.  Well ... they came over to learn HOW to knit socks.  I came up with a basic toe-up sock with a simple 2x2 ribbing and they got busy.

I do continue to suffer from SSS - Second Sock Syndrome.  There is a 3rd single sock in the bottom of my knitting bag.  These socks will have sole-mates someday - by Christmas at the latest.

And ... in the spirit of solidarity ... and to double check my pattern.  I decided that I should make the same sock as my 2 friends. So now I have 4 partial pairs of socks.  I've got 296 days to get them done.

AND ... the best part about last night's knitting ...
Shelly brought dessert.  And the leftovers ... well ... they're not leftovers any more.  Fruit makes an excellent breakfast, doncha think?

I wish I knew how to knit socks. I love hand-knit socks and have 4 pairs but I had to pay to get others to make them for me. *sigh* Maybe someday....

I love knitting socks!!! I want to learn how to knit the toe up socks, but I'm not sure this old dog can learn new tricks! ;o)

The fruit looks yummy! Wish I could knit socks, too. They sure keep my tootsies warm!
