BUSY COWS

Southern Comforters of Bowie has a quilt retreat every year in February, over President's Day weekend.  We start early Friday afternoon and sew and sew and sew and eat and eat and eat straight through until Monday afternoon ... and it's SEW much fun!!

Our "retreat blocks" this year must use a piece of this fabric ...

AND ... the added challenge ... take your cows on a field trip.

So my cows went to Mari Gras ...

and Las Vegas, baby ...

and Sturgis, South Dakota.

Each year, we also make pincushions.  These were from last year ...

Lots of pincushions ...

I have more of that cow fabric, might just have to think up a few more adventures for them.  I LOVE quilt retreats!

I do believe those cows would enjoy a trip to the beach. Might I suggest Panama City Beach - believe me the sand is pristine and the waters beautiful!

You are too much! It's so much fun to play. Tell your quilting buddies that the rest of us can't wait to see what you all come up with this year!

I love what you are doing with your cows. I sure they are enjoying their field trip, LOL. I adore all the pin cushions too. One can never have too many pin cushions. Have a wonderful time on your retreat and bring backs lots of photos and stories. Hugs...
