A LITTLE SEWING

Just a quick little blog post today.  I'm heading out to Walmart for a little holiday shopping ... I need tape.  But first - I thought I'd share, just in case I get sucked in to some sort of shopping vortex and never return.  Don't laugh - it could happen.  Why do you think I have "shopping anxiety?"

Any way ... here are some little 4-patch blocks that will eventually end up in my guild's raffle quilt for 2012.  I'm a member of Southern Comforters of Bowie and yes, we are working on 2012 quilt even before the 2011 raffle has happend.

And this sweet little thing ... it's from a class I took on Saturday.  Barbara, from my guild, taught a class on Laura Wasilowski of Artfabrik, techniques.  We made 11" round art quilts.  I photo'd mine with a quarter on it just for perspective.  I wanted mine to look Christmasy and added teeny beads to sparkle like stars (or snow).  I'm thinking more of these are in my future.

OK ... I think I've used up all my excuses ... laundry - done, quilt - loaded on frame, dinner - started., guess I HAVE to go to Walmart.

That is a SWEET little round Christmas quilt. Good luck at Walmart ... ours is now open 24 hours until Christmas ... maybe you could wait and go in the middle of the night if you have shopping anxiety ... lol
