I went on a quilt retreat this past weekend ... sewing, laughing, eating, sewing, knitting, eating and laughing ... and a little bit of sleeping. We call ourselves the "Quarter Bees" because we usually get together 4 times a year - twice for weekends and twice for all-day sewing. 6 very diverse women who share a love of quilting and friendship.
I worked on a project that I started in a class last summer. It's Deb Tucker's "No Y-seam Carolina Lily". It's 4 blocks ... 2 are completely finished and 2 are almost finished. Deb's patterns are GREAT - very complete and easy to follow.
Dawn was a finisher this weekend ... stockings, stitching, binding, labelling, quilting ... this is only part of what she did.
Cappy helped with the math for this "Tree of Life" block. I have a BUNCH of bitty 1/2 square triangles and knew I wanted to make this block. She helped me figure out all the other parts. The triangle blocks finished at 1" ... itty bitty.
Starlyn worked on a few things (which I did not get photos of) and started and finished this quilt top. LOVE the woven look.
Tara made summer placemats and a table runner.

Looks like a very successful retreat. I was thinking maybe you were going to say you were the Quarter Bees because you only finished 1/4 of what you wanted to finish on your retreats! LOL
It looks like you got a lot of beautiful quilting done at the retreat.
I would love to join a group and share with others.
