This has been the "sewiest" kind of week for me. Last weekend I was retreating with my sewing buddies in western Maryland. This week I'm in southern Virginia with my sewing buddy
Donna. I came down here to teach a class on the Square-in-a-Square ruler for Donna's guild. 22 ladies, lots of strips and squares,a few grumbles but finally everyone figured out the "OPTIONS." Here's the class sample ...
This Christmas quilt was finished the night before the class and made using the same blocks. It's a free pattern on the
SnS site.
And the I started working on these stars. I had this project cut and ready to go to MQX last year and didn't make it. It's been sitting patiently in the "to do" pile ever since. I've got a long to go but at least it's started!
I do love sewing with friends ... it's inspiring!

I agree. Sewing with friends is very inspiring. I am much more motivated to get something done too.
That's what I need: friends with whom I may quilt. (It's been a while.) Otherwise, I'm going to keep procrastinating. You certainly have been working hard. These are lovely!
Great projects! That Christmas tree is so sweet:)
Terrific project all! However, the Christmas tree quilt just went on my "to-do" list. What an awesome pattern, and your quilt is just so pretty. Thanks for sharing!
What fun blocks! And that Christmas tree is pretty darn cute.
I love these star blocks. I especially like the star within the star.
I'm loving the Christmas tree quilt! Great star blocks!
I like the star blocks. Especially the way they are scattered around the larger one.
