FRIDAY FINISH

No blog posts in a week! What's up with that you ask. Let me tell you ... it's sad but true ... I've been stalking parking lots all week looking for an internet connection. Yes, folks, I'm admitting it - I've been stealing internet all week. Except at Dunkn' Donuts - they offer FREE WiFi. I did buy an iced coffee and a donut just because they're nice enough to give us internet-troubled individuals a place to hang out.

My internet is fixed now!! (after 3 visits from 3 different cable guys) and I'm back ...

This week, in fact - this morning - I finished up this cute little catch-all. It's a covered coffee can with lots of pockets. The pattern was poorly written and the pictures were awful but after a little fussing (and a little gusset added), I did manage to get it made. I also made lots of notes so I can redo it MY way. I think these will make cute little gifts. Hmmm ... might even make one for my youngest daughter to hold all her bathroom stuff. She has a lot of stuff.
A finished quilt ... always a good thing. This quilt has already found it's way to Andrew's Air Force Base to be given to a wounded soldier. It's the 3rd of 4 that I started during the "Big Snow."
And ... still not quite finished ... Sunday Drive ... all quilted and bound but I forgot I had to sew on all the buttons. Today - it WILL be finished.
Now, I'm off to a local quilt show and in search of "washed-out-watery batiks." The youngest daughter has put in a request for a quilt.

Lovely quilts - the "soldier" quilt is very striking, and I feel your pain about those buttons - I've done the same thing - thought I was finished and then found out I wasn't! Good luck finding those batiks!

What a cute catch-all! I may have to give that a try. Any chance you're going to post a tutorial?

Kudos to you for making that awesome quilt for a wounded soldier.

Can't wait to see Sunday Drive all buttoned up!

Well, I have to tell you I really like the coffee can catch all. Must make up something for my stuff I keep on the end of my "big ironing board."

Those are both great. Love the Sunday Drive with the bright colors against the white. Thanks for sharing!
