Honey-do

Sunday morning my cute husband woke up ready to tackle the "honey do list." And I so wasn't prepared! The football play-offs are still going on and he'd laid in quite a supply of football food. I never dreamed he'd decide that today's the day. Oh no ... I had to think really fast - what are projects I need him to do, that are indoors (it was raining) and can be completed within a couple of hours and I have the supplies? Coffee first!

I walked into our little bathroom off the hallway and thought - AH HA ... a perfect day to hang up the quilt holders that I bought at Jinny Beyer's shop in VA back in 2003. We've moved twice since I purchased them and they've never gotten hung up anywhere because I wasn't really sure where I wanted them and they hadn't made their way up to the top of the Honey-do list. My cute husband says I need to tell him ahead of time when something moves from a Pri-12 to a Pri-1 so he can be prepared. It's a system that works for us.

This little quilt hangs behind the toilet on a twisted wire hanger that only need a nail. I took care of that 3 years ago.

Today's project needed a laser level,

and power tools. He's not real handy but the man does love his power tools.

And when the job was finished, the game was over and the football food consumed ... he and Rocky (the scaredy cat) rested.

Here's my quilt hanging in the powder room. I made this quilt as part of my guild's 2009 challenge. I was given a word and had to make something that represented that word and could only use 2 colors. My word - Miracle. My quilt colors - yellow and blue. The title ... Miracle of a New Day.
