Catching Up

Where have I been?  What have I been doing?  LOTS of places and LOTS of stuff!

My Cute Husband and I took a vacation ... in the car.  We called it our Halł of Fame Trip.  We left MD on a Wednesday morning, 1st stop in Canton, OH ...

Wonderful shop and it has a "Wool Room"!!!! Yes, a whole room, filled with hand dyed wool.  And yes, a little bit did come home with me.

The next day - the Football Hall of Fame

And President McKinley's tomb and library. Yes, I did climb all 108 steps.

On to ...

The Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame - we spent all day here.  Really interesting!

And just outside, along Lake Erie ... Quilt sighting - sort of.

We drove past Chicago but did not stop ... we were on a mission ...

to Wisconsin.  1st stop - Primitive Gatherings!  Lots of wool and all sorts of other goodies.  They even gave me a cool bag ... because I bought sew much!

Milwaukee, to the Miller Brewing Company.

And then ... what started this whole vacation idea ... The Harley Davidson Museum.  My Cute Husband was in HD heaven.

A couple hours south and we were in Springfield, IL, visting President Licoln's museum

And his house.  He and Mary lived here for 17 years, before he became president.

Tuesday - another quilt shop (or 2) and on to Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Hall of Fame.

Then, Dayton, OH and the Air Force Museum and Aviation Hall of Fame. We got to see and go on the plane that carried President Kennedy home from Dallas, TX.

There was a quilt sighting there among the MANY airplanes!

Then it was Wednesday and time to head home - almost.  We spotted a sign and had to stop...

THEN it was Thursday and we really did have to head home.

There is so much to see and do in this beautiful country of ours. We had the BEST 9 days!!
