Sewing Day

Today was a solo sewing day for me. I made birthday blocks for some Bee Mates.

Pink and purple "Bear's Paw Parts" and a complete Bear's Paw block in blue.

And, a lot of flying geese blocks (36).

My favorite flying geese technique and ruler are Deb Tucker's ... made a smidge too big and square them up to a perfect size ... every time.

I also prepped block #2 for my Imperial Blooms quilt and loaded up a customer quilt on the HQ, after making the backing bigger.  The backing was about 18" too short.

It was a good sewing day!

oh Wow! Where do you find such a ruler and do you make them the "traditional" way with the waste of the triangle corner? Your geese are perfect! I do so love a perfect flying geese (goose?).
