A Sad Tale With A Happy Ending

I made a great autumnal quilt.  I just love that word - AUTUMNAL.  It's a Springwater Design pattern and a very easy sew.  I already blogged about it last week and showed a photo of the finish.

Here it is again as a reminder ...

I pieced it, quilted it and photographed it.  Then I took it to a quilt show (as a vendor), took it out of the bag and gasped.  Look closely.  Do you see it?  That glaring, huge mistake - the errant flying geese block that is in there upside down!?!?

How did I NOT notice it?
Now what?

There's only one thing to do.  Put on a movie, get comfy and snip away.

Stitch it back in, appliqué style and quilt it on the sewing machine.

Ahhhhh, sew much better!

Oh dear, I'd have left it in and called that block "loose goose"....
