Ok - not technically a finish but a "stage 2" (out if 3) step finish. It's an old project that is now quilted!
I do not remember the name of the pattern or the designer - sorry. But the technique is often referred to as - 4-patch frenzy or a 4-patch posy.
It's done just like a "stack 'n whack" but you only need 4 repeats of a fabric and small (less than 12") repeat works really well.
Stack and match up the 4 layers and cut 4-patches into whatever size you need/want.
There are no bias edges! Just rotate the pieces so that the center meets.
Cut your squares any size - this quilt has 2", 4", and 6" squares. This method adds a lot of interest where you might otherwise have one block. Use a 4-patch posy instead.
Binding is made and ready to go.

That is a beautiful quilt and I love how you cut the fabrics to make new designs for the blocks.
