Charity Quilts

I make a lot of charity quilts.  More specifically, I QUILT a lot of charity quilts.  Mostly they go to Georgetown  Pediatric Oncology.  They've also found forever homes at a woman's shelter, Wounded Warriors, and the occasional fundraiser.

My sewing buddy, Starlyn and I whipped up 3 tops the other day using leftovers from her stash of Lightening McQueen fabric.  She made 3 big quilts for grandsons and this was after that.  She also got 1 more done later that night. That's 4 charity quilts from leftovers!

I have to confess - I wasn't entirely sure who Lightening McQueen was. I didn't get grandies until after he was a big thing.

Wonderful that you can work together to make more quilts and fun to use novelty fabric for the kids, they will love them.
