Goodies And An Ouchie

Here's what came home with me from the road trip. The light blue and yellow plaid will likely be the border (or at least part of the border) on my sunflower quilt.

The bandaged finger? Not nearly as bad as the size of the bandage might indicate. While attempting to thread my machine needle, without a pressed foot on - I was switching from quilting foot to walking foot, and green thread to brown (it's all in the details!), I nicked my finger on the needle and it bled - quite a bit. I grabbed a strip of fabric, tied it around my finger and soldiered on.

It was the April UFO and it has to be done by tomorrow night. It still needs a binding and some embellishment. I did not have time for a little thing like a bleeding injury.
