Blue Spruce

FINISHED! Finally got the binding done yesterday. And - it's springtime - back to doing some fence photos. I used a dark blue and white striped fabric for the binding. Thought about making bias binding but I liked the look of the straight stripes.

This was an old fabric, purchased to make a dress for my 6 year old niece - who is now 17. I obviously never made the striped dress, but I did make her lots of pretty dresses when she was little. I had the good fortune to have a sister who unexpectedly had a daughter (actually boy/girl twins) right about the time that my girls were going through a phase - nothing "homemade". Thankfully, my girls are over THAT!
