A LITTLE BIRD

If you've been reading my blog, you've been reading about my struggle with felting.  Struggle? well ... it's been a bit of a learning experience with different degrees of success.

On our trip to MQX, Donna brought a little project for us.  It started about looking like this ...

We had to wet felt these balls.  They actually turned about pretty good.

A little sewing ... by hand - we didn't bring machines ... and this little bird was born ...
I clipped mine to my tote bag and she came along with me to classes and the show.  Donna and I are both taking a Sue Spargo class at Quilt Odyssey this summer.  The little bird was a practice run at one of Sue's patterns.

That came out so nicely. I need to sit down and try some, I have been collecting supplies and got a book. I love the idea of making animals.
