HAPPY NEW YEAR GIVEAWAY

First ... I won fabric!!! Always a good thing.

Did you participate in the Holly Jolly Bingo?  I never got BINGO but I did get some really pretty pastel batiks.  Great way to start off 2011.

And for you ...

Hopefully another great way to start 2011.  A GIVEAWAY!!!  Just leave a comment.  That's it - just a comment on this post.  If you want to be friendly ... tell me something you got for Christmas.  I'll do the drawing on Monday, January 10.  I know you could really use a new pair of Gingher scissors!

Good Luck!

Oh boy, could I ever use a new pair of good scissors. My sweet hubby gave me a beautiful fountain for our backyard. And my sons know the right size and color with gift cards to JoAnn's and Hobby Lobby. Hope you are on the way to a Happy New Year :-)

I don't own a pair of Gingher's, but I remember when mom did.
I asked the kids for a common iron for my quilt room..nothing fancy or pricey and I got the one I was actually eyeing because of it's color, so I am very pleased.

Hi, Mary. Don't enter me in the giveaway -- remember--I bought the same scissors at the same time you did, so I already have some. But my favorite gift was the Keurig individual coffee maker my kids gave me. What a treat to have whatever flavor/decaf/whatever without having to have two pots going anymore!

You are oh so correct that I could use a good pair of scissors. I received only one present for Christmas - a Fiskars strip cutter thingy. I have it set on the dining table so can test it out. The fabrics you won are lovely. Happy New Year.

Love the "American" scissors! I got a lot of gift cards, but my treasured gift was from my grandson - 2 lovely bundles of fabrics that he picked out himself - he's 3 (loves to push the pedal to make NaNa's machine go fast).

Oh my goodness, I have drooled over those scissors in quilt and fabric shops for months, LOL. Thanks so much for a chance to have that beautiful pair. As for something I got for Christmas, well, in spite of the fact I had no decorations as we are in the midst of a minor face lift on the home we have lived in for over 32 years now and in a total mess...my daughter and two oldest grandsons converged on the house and stayed for hours, exchanging gifts, playing games and just laughing until we were crying. I think that is will forever remain one of my favorite Christmas celebrations because it was completely unplanned and totally unexpected. So that was what I got for Christmas...wonderful memories! Thanks again for the giveaway and I wanted to say to that your pastel batiks are absolutely gorgeous I can't wait to see what you make with them! Good Luck to Everyone!

I got a sewing room makeover! (I need to work on how loud I mutter under my breath at husband...he heard me several times in the month it took ;)
ALSO...Santa (or an elf) FIXED my machine! It was sounding awful so I made an appointment with repair man Jan 15. He said it sounds like it needs to be oiled... so I did. Made it worse.
Oil sank in overnight and Christmas morning it was the quietest it has EVER been!

Hi Mary. Glad you are back on the blog. I missed you while you were away. Hope you enjoyed your holidays! I love the t-shirt quilt for your husband. I'm sure he loved it. I have never owned a pair of gingher scissors so I don't quite understand the excitement but I'll join in anyway!! LOL My sister made me an adorable yo-yo Christmas tree. I have never seen anything like it. Gotta get the pattern from her. Well Happy 2011! Hope to hook up with you soon. Take care.
