THE LIST

Do you make lists? Do you follow your list? Do you get extreme pleasure from checking stuff off the list?  Sometimes I make a list just so I can check stuff off and feel like I've accomplished something.  My Mom - GREAT list maker and loves index cards.  I talking LOVES as in, I gave her some ordinary index cards for Christmas and she was actually happy!  Hmmm ... getting off topic ... what was the topic?

I'm not really great with lists.  And time management?  Well - let's just say - making brownies is on my list and so is writing a blog about zipper bags.  One might think that putting brownies in the oven to bake WHILE I type the blog might be a good use of time ... but that's not how I'm operating today ...

I haven't made the pieces and photographed the steps for the zipper bag. And also on the list ... put a border on my Springtime quilt.  Who needs to worry about all the Christmas stuff on my list when I can worry about a languishing Springtime quilt.

I made this quilt 2 years ago as a shop sample.  It measures 58" square.  Now, today, I think that's an odd size and I want it bigger.  Of course most of the fabrics are NOT in my stash.

Isn't it just too cute.  It really needs to be finished.  It deserves to be quilted.  But what the heck am I going to do with another too-small-for-a-bed quilt?

Here's what I'm thinking ... a cooperating blue inner border and I do have that yellow floral.  I think I can manage a finish of 74" square ... at least it will cover most of the bed.
I'm totally open to suggestions.  Any thoughts?

So ... I can't check this off the list, because I haven't actually added the borders.  And the brownies are not yet in the oven.  BUT ... I did get the bathroom cleaned (check) and a pants pocket fixed (check) and the ironing done (CHECK!).  I dearly love polo shirt season - no so much ironing.

Beautiful quilt and applique. That is tough without making it larger on the sides.
