Creative Quilting

Finally had a chance to try out some of the Helen Godden techniques I learned in Utah in June.  At Handy Quilter Academy I took a couple of classes with Helen.  She's Australian and her work is amazing!  Goggle her. You will be so inspired by her work.

Yes - that is all done with thread. I had the patterns from her book enlarged.  The patterns that I did not have with me when I arrived at Office Depot to have them enlarged.  I did finally get there, with the patterns. I traced them lightly with a pencil and then did lots of stitching.

Not bad for a 2nd attempt.  I've been doodling some other shapes and  will get quilted soon.
